WHAT THEY SAY
An inspirational piano teacher...
"Mr Myers has been an inspirational piano teacher for my daughter for over 10 years, guiding her from complete beginner through Grade 8, a performance diploma, and beyond. From day one, he instilled excellent practice habits with clear instructions and structured practice grids, which made picking up other instruments later on so much easier. My daughter had lessons both online and in person and they worked equally well.
He’s particularly good at choosing repertoire that suits the individual child, helping them explore a wide range of genres beyond the exam syllabus. He moves on quickly, which gives pupils a real sense of progress and achievement.
Mr Myers sets very high standards and can be quite particular (pernickety??), but it works because he does it with good humour and a knack for selecting pieces that develop new skills without the pupil even noticing they are being challenged."

Patient teacher for beginners, excellent for more advanced...
"Mr Myers has taught our two children piano - one from age four to eleven and the other from four to sixteen and still going strong. Mr Myers is a great and patient teacher for beginners but also excellent for more advanced pupils, finding imaginative ways to interest and engage teenagers. It is his piano teaching that has stimulated our son to do GCSE and now A level music whilst continuing to enjoy piano hugely and even pick up, on Mr Myers' suggestion, church organ. He is patient, funny and has fostered a great focus on music in our family."

An excellent balance of swift progress with fun...
"Our daughter began learning piano with Mr Myers 8 years ago when she was five years old and it continues to be a hugely positive experience.
From the beginning, he managed to strike an excellent balance of swift progress with fun, encouraging her to improve technique or master a difficult piece without it feeling tedious. He's enabled her to achieve brilliant results with a very light touch.
More importantly, My Myers is genuinely interested in finding repertoire our daughter enjoys, knows when to give her a breather with something fun and deals with her occasional capriciousness with good humour. We all think he's wonderful."

Tailoring his lessons to individual students...
"Mr Myers is a truly outstanding teacher, tailoring his lessons to individual students. He's been teaching my two daughters for over a decade - one is now a music scholar and the other recently completed her ABRSM Grade 8 (distinction). At times, both of them wanted to quit. Mr Myers is the reason they didn't - he siwitched up the repertoire and helped them rediscover their passion. He's thoughtful and kind, but pushes them when they need it. Watching him at the concerts he organizes for his students each term, he clearly cares about the students he teaches. Mr Myers is a rare find."
